Lesson
A short video can demonstrate a skill, show a product, or answer a common question.

The idea
Teach one useful thing in a short video. This lesson applies the same principle to three distinct stages of business.
Why it matters: Illustrative example: a flooring company regularly hears the same maintenance question. A short demonstration that answers it is more useful than an unrelated montage.
Choose usefulness over virality. A video answering a common customer question can have value even without huge view counts; compare performance to qualified inquiries, not views alone. Showing the real process also sets expectations. Avoid implying that a result is guaranteed when conditions, materials or prior damage may change the outcome.
Script template: 1) a genuine customer question, 2) an authentic demonstration, 3) what may vary or what viewers should avoid, and 4) where to get more information. Before publishing, ensure captions work without sound, contact details remain legible on phones, and you have permission for faces, music and footage. An established business could film five recurring questions and track whether they reduce confusion.
Practical steps: 1. IDEA: choose one real customer question and draft a direct answer. 2. STARTING: record clear audio and lighting, add captions and show only genuine work or products. 3. ESTABLISHED: create a series of frequent questions, review meaningful inquiries and use only media you have rights to. 4. PRACTICE — Practice a script: 5 seconds of the question, 25 seconds of demonstration, 10 seconds of limitations and 5 seconds for contacting the business. Times are illustrative, not platform rules. 5. REFLECT — What decision would you change today, and what real information do you still need before spending money?
An important note: Views do not guarantee sales. Obtain filming consent where appropriate and review current platform requirements.
